Principal Design Features
CS 1010 is a plain carbon steel with a nominal 1.10% carbon contnt. It is a relatively low strength steel but it may be quenched and tempered for increased strength.

Forming
Formability of 1010 steel is good. The alloy has good ductility and is readily formed by conventional means.
